My name is Lourdes Valdez, also known as Lulú. I was born in San Diego, but I’ve spent a significant part of my life in Tijuana, and I proudly consider myself a native of both cities. Growing up, my parents frequently took us throughout Southern California and Mexico during winter and summer breaks. Those experiences shaped my deep connection to the region I call home and sparked a lifelong passion for travel.

Baja California is one of my favorite places on earth. I’m drawn to its people, its landscapes, and—most of all—its food. I’ve visited Ensenada countless times, but a few years ago I discovered Valle de Guadalupe and instantly fell in love with its charm, creativity, and world-class wine scene.

Valle by Design was born after a tour to Valle de Guadalupe that fell far short of expectations. Reservations were mishandled, we were charged for items that were supposed to be included, and some wineries were even closed upon arrival. To make matters worse, the guide’s lack of professionalism left many of my guests feeling uncomfortable and disappointed.

With a strong background in event planning, I naturally approach every experience with a critical eye. I believe exceptional service lives in the details, and high-quality customer care is non-negotiable. When I invest in a service, I expect excellence—and that same standard is what I bring to every tour we design.
